Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (M.D. or D.O.) required.
• Board certified/Board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Oncology/Musculoskeletal Oncology.
• BLS certification required.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred. 1-10 years of experience beyond fellowship and residency training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provides physician services appropriate to American Board of Orthopedic Surgery standards.
• Directs, plans and implements care of orthopedic patients, including EMR documentation and prescribing medications.
• Orders radiologic and laboratory tests and studies as necessary.
• Assesses patients with history, physical findings, and diagnostic studies.
• Plans and implements care, including communicating treatment plans to patients.
• Counsels individuals and families about health-related issues.
• Attends or performs rounds on hospital inpatients.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by referrals.
• Attends and serves on group practice or hospital committees.
