Responsibilities

Enter charges accurately and efficiently.
Submit electronic and paper insurance claims in a timely manner.
Post insurance and patient payments accurately.
Review, correct and resubmit denied or rejected claims.
Prepare and process appeals and reconsiderations.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding insurance claims and accounts receivable.
Respond professionally to patient billing and insurance inquiries.
Collaborate with providers, front desk staff and clinical teams to resolve billing issues.
Maintain current knowledge of payer policies and billing guidelines.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.
