Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced orthopedic setting at our Arlington, TX location. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with examinations and minor procedures, and document patient histories and vital signs in the EMR system.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma or equivalent, a CMA/RMA certification is preferred, and 2–3 years of clinical experience with EMR proficiency. Orthopedic experience and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Cert CMA/RMA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience; orthopedic or surgical setting a plus.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures.
• Record patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints in EMR.
• Apply and remove orthopedic devices under provider supervision.
• Provide patient education on preoperative and postoperative care.
• Assist with imaging coordination (X-rays, MRIs) and follow-up.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and clinical areas.
• Perform scheduling, phone handling, and patient records management.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Support surgical scheduling and pre-operative prep as needed.
