Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, Locust Grove, GA, is hiring an Orthopedic Medical Assistant for an on-site, full-time hourly role. You will guide patients, gather intake information, coordinate care for surgeries, and manage communications with patients and physicians in a supportive clinic.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completed an approved CMA/CNA/Ortho Tech program, and 1+ year of medical office experience, preferably with Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or accepted.
• Graduate of CNA/CMA/Ortho Tech program (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 1+ year of medical office experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems (Epic preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with dressing as needed.
• Accurately review patient registration details and complete EMR intake forms.
• Prepare surgical orders, schedule tests, obtain results, and manage clearances for surgeries.
• Manage patient callbacks, messages, prescriptions, and referrals; monitor physician queues.
• Demonstrate proper fitting and usage of durable medical equipment (DME).
