Job summary

The Orthopaedic Center is hiring a Medical Assistant for a full-time role averaging 40 hours per week. The MA will support orthopedic physicians under the Clinical Coordinator, handling nursing tasks, medication administration, sterile techniques, and patient education.

Responsibilities include coordinating tests, imaging, and lab work, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with surgeries and pre-op clearances.

Qualifications

• Education: HS/GED required.
• ROT or CCMA certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum one year of full-time clinical experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthopedic physicians under Clinical Coordinator supervision.
• Perform general nursing duties, suture/staple removal, wound care, and dressing changes.
• Draw up and call in medications; apply sterile fields; remove casts/splints.
