Job summary

Union County Orthopaedic Group in Northern New Jersey is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Hand & Upper Extremity Surgeon to join our growing team, with a long history of patient care and a strong referral base.

The role covers comprehensive hand, wrist, elbow, and upper-extremity care, with opportunities to grow an established hand surgery practice and collaborate with PM&R, physical therapists, and other surgeons.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or -eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Completion of an Orthopaedic Hand Surgery Fellowship.
• Comfortable managing general orthopedic injuries encountered through ER call.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive hand, wrist, elbow, and upper-extremity care.
• Surgical and non-operative management of upper-extremity conditions.
• Growth opportunity for an established hand surgery practice.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, PM&R physicians, and physical therapists.
• Participation in local orthopedic ER call (approximately 1:6).
• Community and physician outreach with practice support.

Job description

Union County Orthopaedic Group, a well-established, physician-owned orthopedic multi-specialty practice in Northern New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Hand & Upper Extremity Surgeon to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established hand practice with a significant existing patient population and build upon a referral base developed over more than 50 years in the community.

Practice Highlights

• Nearly 50 years serving the community

• Three locations: Clark, Linden, and Union, NJ

• Established hand & upper-extremity referral base

• On-site X-ray and DME

• Integrated physical therapy clinics in Union (2023) and Clark (2025)

• Two supportive local hospitals and physician-partner-owned ASC

• Founding division of OrthoNJ, with 100+ musculoskeletal providers

Multidisciplinary team of 7 orthopedic surgeons, 2 PM&R physicians, 1 podiatrist, 5 PAs, and 1 NP

Role Includes

• Comprehensive hand, wrist, elbow, and upper-extremity care
• Surgical and non-operative management of upper-extremity conditions
• Opportunity to grow an established hand surgery practice
• Collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, PM&R physicians, and physical therapists
• Participation in local orthopedic ER call, currently approximately 1:6
• Opportunity for community and physician outreach with practice support

Qualifications
