Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join a busy orthopedic practice as an APP float with an independent clinic schedule and OR first assist responsibilities. The role is based in Concord, NC within Atrium Health MSKI and supports expansion across the northeast Charlotte metro area.

Ideal candidates have NCCPA certification, North Carolina licensure (or eligible), and a DEA license (or eligible). Prior orthopedic APP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• North Carolina licensure (or eligible) and DEA license (or eligible).
• NCCPA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Function as an independent APP provider with your own clinic schedule.
• Serve as First Assist in the Operating Room.
• Participate in office call rotation.
• Perform inpatient rounding as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians across multiple orthopedic specialties (Shoulder, Hand, Hip, Knee).
• Support an established orthopedic group as a float PA across specialties.
• Partner with outreach Athletic Trainers for community coverage.

Piedmont Orthopedics is a well-respected practice comprised of board-certified orthopedic surgeons and a dynamic team of APPs. This position supports expansion efforts across the northeast Charlotte metro areas, including Huntersville, Concord, and Kannapolis.

Key Responsibilities- APP Float position in a busy orthopedic practice

• Function as an independent APP provider with your own clinic schedule
• Serve as First Assist in the Operating Room
• Participate in an office call rotation call pool rotation.
• Perform inpatient rounding as needed
• Collaborate with physicians across multiple specialties including:
• Shoulder
• Hand
• Hip
• Knee
• Support an Established Orthopedic Group as a float PA supporting patient care needs for multiple specialties
• Partner with outreach Athletic Trainers for community and sports coverage
