Job summary

EmergeOrtho is North Carolina's premier orthopedic provider, seeking a Cast Technician to support clinical staff with casting and splinting in a busy outpatient setting. The role requires assisting with patient care, ensuring safe equipment use, and coordinating with the team across multiple offices in NC.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, plus relevant allied health training or experience, and prefer certification such as OTC or ATC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Allied health associates or bachelor's preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of medical training or allied health related field experience.
• Experience in casting, splinting, taping/bracing preferred.
• Certification preferred - ex. OTC, ATC.

Responsibilities

• Provides DME/Casting Orthopedic care to patients within the clinic as needed for scheduled coverage.
• Prepare Casting rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
• Provide patient care, treatment, and service in a coordinated manner to meet patient needs.
• Educate patients on home medical equipment to facilitate safe, effective use.
• Promote safe environments and equipment use for patients and staff.
• Obtain and update patient information confidentially for care and billing.
• Accommodate patient volume by adjusting staff for maximum flow and minimal waits.
• Review and maintain the inventory management system.
• Maintain open communication with staff and providers regarding patient needs.
