Job description

The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales goals within their assigned territory. They must establish and maintain customer relations through communication and in-person appointments. The role requires expert knowledge of our product portfolio and involves consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding Arthrex products and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory, working with surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  2. Build and maintain strong business relationships; develop and implement sales strategies.
  3. Communicate with current and new customers about product updates, changes, and educational programs.
  4. Implement sales plans and marketing strategies to meet/exceed objectives.
  5. Cross-sell products and manage new product introductions.
  6. Address account issues.
  7. Support compliance by maintaining confidentiality, protecting assets, acting ethically, and adhering to laws and policies.
  8. Receive coaching and training; transfer knowledge to peers.
  9. Maintain training in sales skills and product features.
  10. Collect competitive data; stay current on industry trends.
  11. Attend sales and professional meetings outside regular hours as needed.
  12. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years in orthopedic or related fields; sports experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
  • Comfortable in open operating room environments.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology related to Arthrex.
  • Understanding of OR protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to learn technical information, anatomy, and surgical indications.
  • Prior sales experience is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to create effective business plans.
  • Commission-driven, with strong communication skills.
  • Sense of urgency; ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-assured, competitive, independent decision-maker.
  • Adherence to compliance policies.

Tools and Equipment:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Own transportation.
