Job description

The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within their team's assigned territory. Sales Representatives must establish, build, and maintain customer relations through constant communication and in-person appointments. This role requires maintaining expert knowledge of our market-leading product portfolio. You will be consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of Arthrex products and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory by working with surgeons and healthcare professionals to promote Arthrex products.
  2. Build and maintain strong business relationships; develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  3. Communicate with current and new customer accounts about product updates, changes, and educational programs.
  4. Implement new sales plans and marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and meet/exceed territory objectives.
  5. Cross-sell additional products or manage new product introductions.
  6. Address any problems that arise at the account.
  7. Support compliance by maintaining confidentiality, protecting organizational assets, acting ethically, and adhering to laws and company policies.
  8. Receive coaching, training, or mentoring; transfer knowledge to peers as needed.
  9. Maintain training in sales skills, product features, and other critical business applications.
  10. Collect competitive data and stay current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
  11. Participate in sales meetings and professional events outside regular hours, as required.
  12. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
  13. Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
  • Comfort in open operating room environments.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and OR protocols.
  • Ability to learn technical information related to surgery and procedures.
  • Prior sales experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to create effective business plans.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Sense of urgency; ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-confidence and a competitive drive.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take responsibility.
  • Compliance with all policies and codes of conduct.
