Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston, ME seeks a qualified Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider to join our musculoskeletal team. This full-time role blends clinic work, surgical first assist, inpatient rounding, and follow-up care with a strong referral base and modern facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active or eligible for Maine PA/NP license.
• Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred; new grads with rotations considered.
• Strong communication and team-based care mindset.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assist in orthopedic surgeries including joint replacement, fracture care, and sports procedures.
• Perform pre-op and post-op assessments.
• Order/interprete imaging and labs.
• Provide patient education, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, therapists, nursing, and ancillary teams.
