Job summary

Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois, is seeking a BE/BC Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our Orthopaedics team in a full-time capacity. Surgeries are performed at CRMH, a 25-bed Critical Access facility with 5 ORs serving eight counties, offering a broad surgical case mix and strong clinical autonomy with experienced staff.

  • Total Joint Replacement experience or training is required; minimally invasive experience or training preferred.

  • Perform surgeries at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital (CRMH) with broad surgical case mix, supported by hospital services.
  • Maintain strong clinical autonomy with dedicated support staff.
  • Engage in a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule designed to support work-life balance.
  • Develop lasting patient relationships within a close-knit community and participate in continuity of care.
  • Pursue potential research and academic affiliation with Carle Illinois College of Medicine.

Carle Health is actively recruiting for an experienced and dynamic BE/BC Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our growing Orthopaedics team at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.

  • Total Joint Replacement (knee and hip) experience or training is required; minimally invasive experience or training preferred

  • All surgeries performed at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital (CRMH), a 25-bed Critical Access, DNV-accredited facility with 5 ORs serving 8 Southeast Illinois counties (population 109,000+)
  • Established outpatient therapy services including home health support, with Swing Bed inpatient rehabilitation available for continuity of care
  • Block surgical time and dedicated clinic hours, all conveniently located on one campus to maximize efficiency
  • Broad surgical case mix supported by hospital services including General Surgery, Oncology, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Urology, and Podiatry

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $700,000 - $725,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
