Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a physician to provide comprehensive medical care to patients in a hospital/clinic setting. You will interview, examine, and treat patients, educate families on wellness, and collaborate with other physicians to maintain continuous coverage.

The role requires an MD in Medicine and an active DEA license, with responsibilities spanning referrals, testing, documentation, and ongoing patient management while upholding confidentiality and participating in educational

Qualifications

• MD Medicine is required.
• Current DEA and all other required licenses as related to specialty are required.

Responsibilities

• Interview, examine and treat clinical patients to meet medical needs.
• Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection with materials and resources.
• Share health care duties with other physicians to ensure availability of a physician at all times.
• Determine referrals based on examination and patient needs.
• Determine urgency of follow-up, referral, or consultation appointments.
• Exercise final medical judgment on health care issues.
• Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs.
• Order studies, tests, and ancillary services.
• Document all services in patient medical records.
• Review long-term cases requiring ongoing medical attention.
• Consult with Medical Director and other staff regarding patient care and education.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education programs.
• Oversee mid-level medical staff and nursing staff as assigned.
• Assist in resolving patient complaints and inquiries.
• Maintain patient information confidentiality as required by law.
• Participate in teaching sessions for staff and medical students.
