CommonSpirit Health–affiliated Creighton University Medical Center – CHI Health in Omaha, NE invites an Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle physician to join our academic division. You will care for patients, participate in teaching, and contribute to research within a collaborative Foot & Ankle program.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a faculty Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle physician in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Creighton University School of Medicine, you will provide world class orthopaedic Foot & Ankle care to join our expanding clinic practice in Omaha, NE.

Every day you will work in a collaborative division of Foot & Ankle surgery with two current physicians, committed to highest quality outcomes, as well as providing learners hands on experience in collaboration with Creighton University School of Medicine, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery's residency program, led by our Department Chair, Dr. Ranjan Gupta, in conjunction with a newly created Orthopaedic Center of excellence at CHI Health.

As a busy academic institution, Creighton University Medical Center - CHI Health boasts a number of additional opportunities including the opportunity to conduct research in collaboration with scientists within Common Spirit and Creighton University School of Medicine in its own biomechanic lab.

The Foot & Ankle Division is a busy part of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery integrating medical students and undergraduates in a rich teaching environment.

To be successful in this role, you will be board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery with clinical focus on Foot & Ankle pathology with training in fracture repair, soft tissue management, nerve repair and ankle arthroscopy. In addition, the candidate should have a strong academic interest with a desire to educate and participate in research.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
• Strong clinical and OR skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and health-care professionals
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families
