Job summary

BLACKER ORTHODONTICS, PLLC is seeking a detail-oriented Orthodontic Sterilization Technician to join our busy practice in Chandler/Tempe. The role focuses on sterilizing, disinfecting and organizing instruments in a safe, compliant environment.

You will support clinical staff by preparing instruments, logging sterilization cycles, and maintaining inventory, while following OSHA/CDC guidelines to ensure patient safety and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Previous dental or orthodontic experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of sterilization and clinical areas.
• Monitor and log sterilization cycles and equipment performance.
• Assist clinical staff with instrument setup and breakdown.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials.
• Maintain inventory of sterilization supplies.
