Orthodontic Experts is hiring an Orthodontic Assistant in Chicago, IL. You will support the orthodontist with treatments, maintain patient records, and educate patients on care. This full-time role requires weekend availability and a focus on precision and safety.

Qualifications

• Orthodontic assisting experience: 1 year minimum.
• Availability on Saturdays.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate of completion for Orthodontic Assistant Courses preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and multitask efficiently.
• Professional, organized, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for orthodontic treatments, including cleaning teeth, taking X‑Rays, and making impressions.
• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, such as adjusting braces and placing appliances.
• Manage patient records and update charts.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic care.
• Sterilize instruments and follow infection control protocols.
• Travel to sister clinics and perform administrative tasks as needed.
• Participate in marketing events and other duties as assigned.

Duties

• Prepare patients for orthodontic treatments, such as cleaning teeth, taking X‑Rays, and making impressions.
• Examine patients' mouths and take notes of irregularities.
• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, such as adjusting braces and placing orthodontic appliances.
• Manage patient records and update charts.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic care.
• Sterilize instruments before and after use.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols.
• Complete Aligner procedures: attachments, adjustments, and scans.
• Complete Full Arch Bonding top and bottom, as well as bonding fixed retainers.
• Debonding.
• Rebonding Brackets.
• Using various digital scanners.
• Making clear retainers.
• Delivering expanders, space maintainers and forsus.
• In the event you travel to another clinic, you are required to perform all duties and responsibilities of your role, including administrative tasks.
• Participate in Marketing events.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Orthodontic assisting (1 year required).

Working Hours, Location, and Pay

• Tuesday – Wednesday: 10:00am – 6:00pm.
• Thursday – Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm.
• Saturdays: 8:00am – 2:00pm.
• Work Location: 3113 N Halsted, Chicago, IL 60657.
• Travel to West Loop, Old Town.
• Pay range: $18–$25 per hour.
