Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group in Birmingham, AL seeks an Orthodontic Assistant to join their pediatric-focused team. This full-time role supports orthodontists during patient visits, prepares treatment rooms, takes X-rays, and helps create a kid-friendly, efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice is preferred.
• Additional certification or training is a plus.
• Experience with Cloud9 software or iTero scanners is a plus.
• Full-time role (30+ hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.
