Smile Perfect Orthodontics in Cedar Hills, UT is seeking a qualified Orthodontic Assistant to join our established team. The ideal candidate will assist the orthodontist during patient treatments, prepare patients, and maintain infection control and records.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of orthodontic experience, with knowledge of procedures and appliances. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for providing exceptional patient care.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited orthodontic assisting program preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an orthodontic assistant or dental assistant, with a focus on orthodontic procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and terminology.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the orthodontic team.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the orthodontist during patient treatments, including braces placement/removal and imaging.
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain treatments.
• Sterilize instruments and ensure infection control compliance.
• Maintain clean, organized clinical areas and stock supplies.
• Take diagnostic X-rays or digital scans as needed for treatment planning.
• Update patient records in the EHR/PMS with treatment progress and X-ray results.
