Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months or more of practical experience as an orthodontic assistant.
• CPR or BCLS certification is required.
• Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and quick-learning abilities.
• Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage patients with a friendly, respectful approach.
• Ensure patients are informed and comfortable before, during, and after appointments.
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos.
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and equipment.
• Provide chair-side assistance during treatment procedures.
• Document orthodontic care in patient records and charting.
• Assist orthodontist in assessing teeth and treatment planning.
• Perform routine orthodontic duties including cleaning and adjustments of gear.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, patient-centered workspace.
