Job summary
Smile Doctors, LLC in New Lenox, IL is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to deliver a positive clinical experience while following policy and state dental laws under the supervision of an Orthodontist. You’ll assist in placing and removing appliances, review patient charts, log data, and perform lab work as directed.
You’ll educate patients on care and remote monitoring, keep the operatory sterile, and help triage patient messages.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Dental Assistant certification if required by state Dental Board.
- Radiography certification if required by state Dental Board.
- CPR certification if required by state Dental Board.
Responsibilities
- Assist in placing and removing orthodontic appliances under supervision.
- Review patient charts and log data, including transcription of doctor notes.
- Perform laboratory procedures under supervision of the Orthodontist.
- Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
- Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and operatory; follow infection-control protocols.
- Review remote monitoring dashboard and triage patient messages.
