Orthodontic Assistant Position in South Austin

Pay

$15 - $30 per hour

Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Shift & Schedule

4x10
Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 7 AM - 5:30 PM; Thursday: 7 AM - 2 PM; Friday: Closed
Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
Overtime: Overtime available during busy seasons and paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
Weekend Work: No weekend shifts required.
Holiday Shifts: Office is open for minor holidays and closed for the 5-6 major holidays.

License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Basic life support, Driver’s license, Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

Job Description

Conduct clinical appointments, including, but not limited to, arch wire changes, bracket placement, appliance deliveries.
Invisalign attachment/ button placement
Obtain digital orthodontic records: intra-oral photos, digital X-rays and iTero scans
Establish patient trust through reliability and responsiveness
Actively asses each patient to provide effective treatment including accurate charting notes
Follow proper sterile techniques and apply throughout the office
Provide Patients and Parents proper education for their orthodontic and oral hygiene needs using accurate medical and orthodontic terminology
Ability to have fun and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Multi-task throughout the day
