Qualifications

• BSN required and IL RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC within 1 year for ER specific roles.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess and record patient status and care needs on admission or point of care.
• Organize health data for accurate, complete care planning.
• Identify problems needing immediate attention and validate diagnoses with the team.
• Document diagnoses to support expected outcomes and care plans.
• Initiate and update discharge planning and patient education.
• Coordinate with patient/family and health team for ongoing care.
