Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Seasonal RN in Ortho for a 13-week temporary assignment on the Night shift (7p-7a). The role involves delivering safe nursing care with a focus on patient-centered care, leadership within the care team, and adherence to hospital standards.

Requires active Florida nursing license, BLS, ACLS/NRP/PALS/CPI by start, and 2 years acute care experience. Starting 10/13/26 and ending 1/6/27, pay rate is $60.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• Required 2 years, full-time or 3 years, part-time experience in acute care setting.
• ACLS as of start date (New graduate RNs within 90 days).
• NRP as of start date (inexperienced L&D nurses within 90 days).
• NIH within 90 days of start date.
• PALS and CPI within 90 days for ER, PACU: PALS as of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
