Mercy Medical Center is seeking an Ortho Research Coordinator to coordinate the implementation of research protocols and manage multiple clinical trials under IRB approval. You will act as the primary contact for investigators, sponsors, CROs, and vendors, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely study activities.

The role requires 1–3 years in research coordination, a BA/BS degree, and a strong ability to manage cross-functional teams in a hospital research setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• BA/BS degree.
• 1–3 years working in a research setting coordinating complex projects or comparable relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of research protocols approved for activation by the Mercy Medical Center IRB and manage multiple clinical research projects and pharmaceutical trials.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of clinical studies from start-up through closeout, ensuring adherence to protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as primary contact for study communications with PIs, sub-investigators, sponsors, CROs, vendors, lab personnel, pharmacy, nursing and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate site qualification visits, initiation visits, routine monitoring, audits and closeout visits, including scheduling and documentation.
