Carilion Clinic is seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Practice RN for the NRV region. The role focuses on nursing coordination, patient advocacy, and age-specific care with a team-oriented approach. Must be eligible for Virginia RN licensure and proficient in EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of professional nursing eligible to sit for VA licensure.
• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required.
• Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care for patients of all ages.
• Administers treatments and medications and documents in EMR.
• Collaborates with health care team to develop and revise age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Educates patient and family and contributes to staff education and unit activities.
• Supports performance improvement initiatives and resource management.
