UF Health Central Florida is seeking an Ortho Nurse Navigator to manage orthopedic program operations and enhance patient outcomes through effective communication and collaboration. Key qualifications include a Florida Registered Nurse License and at least 2 years of clinical service line experience. This role requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to improving patient care.
The Ortho Nurse Navigator is responsible for upholding excellence in the provision of nursing clinical care through implementation of evidence-based standards of care. The Ortho Nurse Navigator possesses broad nursing knowledge and clinical expertise in a specialty area. The Ortho Nurse Navigator has oversight of the daily operations of the orthopedic program, acts as a clinical resource throughout the continuum of care, maintains weekly performance tracking and communication to the Orthopedic Program Supervisor and interdisciplinary team as appropriate. Identifies and implements best practices for operations and sharing of knowledge to enhance service and quality of the organization. Develops appropriate education and communication plans with the orthopedic interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and meet program initiatives. Partners with physicians directly involved in our orthopedic program to improve efficiency, meet program requirements and improve outcomes. Facilitates problem resolution, process improvement and communication flow. Reports to the Orthopedic Program Supervisor.
Orthopedic RN Navigator - Joint Commission Certification
Supports and leads the orthopedic joint certification program by coordinating Joint Commission application activities, tracking and reporting quality outcomes, maintaining certification readiness, and partnering with teams to improve patient care and program performance. Monday-Friday.
