Job summary

BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a day shift, full-time Ortho Neuro Trauma Charge Registered Nurse to lead patient care on a shift-by-shift basis. You will delegate tasks, coordinate nursing staff, and ensure high-quality care through the nursing process.

The ideal candidate is a Texas-licensed RN with BLS and Acls/PALS certifications and at least two years of acute care experience, ready to contribute to a team that values compassionate, high-standard care in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• She/he provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.
