Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for outpatient (Ortho/ION) services. The role involves diagnostic imaging, patient assessment, and teamwork in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will document via PACS, RIS, and EMR, while maintaining safety standards.

The position requires ARRT registry, Virginia ambulatory license, and AHA BLS-HCP. Hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with rotating Saturday mornings and potential sign-on/relocation support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registry is required and Virginia state license for ambulatory settings.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification is required.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic equipment in outpatient settings.
• Assess patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Document workflow in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to support patient care objectives.
• Participate in training of students and staff and maintain safety standards.
