The Solution Architect is a thought leader who works collaboratively with internal and merchant stakeholders to influence the vision and implementation of eCommerce solutions built within the Oro Commerce platform. The Solution Architect will leverage technology research, commerce best practices, and platform expertise to advise merchants on solutions to successfully integrate their digital and physical shopping experiences.
In this role, you will participate in pre-sales activities, conceptualize and prototype solutions, translate requirements into user stories and detailed tasks, support estimation, and establish project timelines/milestones. The Solution Architect is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of the engagement throughout the implementation process.
Essential Functions
- Provide detailed demonstrations of Oro Commerce features and capabilities to merchants, identifying any gaps in OOTB capabilities necessary to meet project requirements.
- Drive the project discovery process, document client requirements, proposed customizations, and solutions.
- Work closely with the development team to communicate requirements, approach, and proposed solutions throughout the development cycle.
- Configure Oro Commerce OOTB capabilities and workflows.
- Provide detailed demonstrations of client implementations throughout the sprint cycle, including customizations, workflows, and platform capabilities.
- Perform or facilitate QA of client implementations.
- Drive the successful outcome of the client UAT process.
- Depending on project scope and size, manage daily project, sprint, and budget activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve project execution processes and best practices.
- Work closely with clients and vendors to detail solutions and integration specifics.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years in eCommerce solutions, preferably in agency or integrator environments
- At least 2 years with Oro Commerce platform
- Deep understanding of B2B Commerce concepts
- Knowledge of eCommerce trends and best practices
- Web development experience and familiarity with agile methodologies
- Experience working remotely and with virtual teams
Preferred Education and Experience
- Oro Commerce certification
- Scrum Master certification (a plus)
- Experience with Adobe Commerce
