Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Orlando, FL. The role offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour daytime shifts, providing opportunities to work with a dedicated clinical team and deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging.

You will operate MRI scanners, administer contrast as needed, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate results while maintaining patient-centered care and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of Radiology program with MRI specialization.
• 1 year MRI Tech experience.
• Valid Radiology/MRI license per state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications prior to procedure, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Educate patients on MRI procedure and answer questions if they arise.
• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any malfunctions.
• Start IVs and administer contrast media per orders and protocol, monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
• Monitor image quality during procedures and adjust scanning parameters for optimal diagnostic results.
• Document all procedure details, including imaging parameters and patient observations, per hospital policies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging and timely delivery of results.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with infection control and hospital policies.
• Follow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of an MRI Technologist.
