Job summary

LVI Associates, a well-established employee-owned surveying and geomatics firm, seeks a CAD Tech to support transportation, utility, and infrastructure projects. You will work with engineers, surveyors, and project teams to develop construction plans and technical drawings, ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the design process.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience preparing engineering drawings and construction plans.
  • Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation and/or Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Experience supporting transportation, utility, civil, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong drafting standards and ability to interpret markups and redlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed construction plans and drawings using Bentley and/or Autodesk software.
  • Support roadway, utility, transportation, and infrastructure projects.
  • Update drawings based on design revisions and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and design staff through all project phases.
  • Organize and maintain project files and documentation.
  • Assist with quantities, estimates, and plan production.
  • Participate in quality control reviews and internal project reviews.
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Attend internal and client meetings as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior drafting staff where appropriate.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

A CAD Tech to support transportation, utility, and infrastructure projects. This person will work closely with engineers, surveyors, and project teams to develop construction plans and technical drawings while ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the design process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare detailed construction plans and drawings using Bentley and/or Autodesk software
  • Support roadway, utility, transportation, and infrastructure projects
  • Update drawings based on design revisions and project requirements
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and design staff throughout all phases of project delivery
  • Organize and maintain project files and documentation
  • Assist with quantities, estimates, and plan production
