Job summary

Ryan C. Phillips, P.A. is seeking a motivated Construction Litigation Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join our team in Orlando, Florida.

You will handle all aspects of construction litigation, from pleadings through trial, and work closely with clients, contractors, architects, and engineers. The ideal candidate will draft contracts, conduct legal research, manage case work flow, participate in settlements and mediations, and collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
• 4–6 years of litigation experience (construction, commercial, or real estate)
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and lien law
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Proficiency with MS Office and case management software
• Experience with depositions and court hearings

Responsibilities

• Handle construction litigation matters from inception through trial, including pleadings, motions, discovery, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Draft and review contracts, subcontracts, and other construction-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare construction law memoranda.
• Work directly with clients, contractors, architects and engineers, and expert witnesses to manage cases effectively.
• Assist in settlement negotiations, mediations, and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and manage case workflow.
