Arch Mortgage Insurance Company (Arch MI) invites students to an internship focused on building and maintaining customer-facing digital platforms and mobile apps. You will work on front-end and back-end tasks using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Java, Azure, and SQL, while contributing to UI design and backend services.

You’ll collaborate with BSAs and DPMs to refine requirements, participate in sprint ceremonies, and contribute to CI pipelines.

Qualifikationen

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Junior, Senior, or graduate student with graduation dates between Dec 2027 and May 2028.
• Experience with HTML, Angular, Java, and CSS is required.
• Experience with SQL, Azure, iOS/Android, and GitHub Actions is preferred.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, teamwork, and ability to learn continuously.
• Self-starter who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Assist front-end and back-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Java, Azure, and SQL databases.
• Design user interfaces with Angular and standard web technologies.
• Develop backend services using Java, integrated with Azure infrastructure and SQL databases.
• Collaborate with BSAs and DPMs to define business requirements.
• Participate in coding, testing, and deploying web UIs, microservices, and CI pipelines with Spring Boot, Angular, AWS Lambda; pair programming as needed.
• Engage in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to support agile execution.

About This Internship

Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.

About This Role

• Support the team to develop and maintain customer-facing digital platforms applications, mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Deliver seamless access to services and information through intuitive and high-performing digital experiences.
• Support front-end and back-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Java, Azure, and SQL databases.
• Design user interfaces using Angular and standard web technologies.
• Develop backend services using Java, integrated with Azure infrastructure and SQL databases.
• Partner with Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) and Digital Product Managers (DPMs) to define and refine business requirements.
• Complete coding, testing and deploying web UIs, microservices and scripting CI pipelines. Work with Spring Boot Java UI, Angular, Spring boot services, AWS Lambda, CI pipeline scripting. Development methodology involves paired programming with other developers.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to support agile execution.

Qualifications

• Actively completing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science or related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• College level – Junior, Senior, or Graduate student with graduation dates between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Experience and proficiency in HTML, Angular, Java, and CSS required.
• Experience and proficiency in SQL, Azure, iOS/Android, and GitHub Actions preferred.
• Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
• Team player who collaborates effectively.
• Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location & Work Arrangement

• The program dates are June 2, 2027 - August 6, 2027.
• This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2-3 days onsite.
• This position is located in Greensboro, NC.
• Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.
