Stride is seeking an Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist contractor to provide in-person and virtual support to students with visual impairments within the K12/Stride network. The Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist - CONTRACTOR is responsible for providing face-to-face orientation and mobility services to eligible special education students with visual impairments enrolled in virtual public schools within the K12/Stride network. Services are provided in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The O&M Specialist will collaborate with virtual school teams to support students' travel skills, independence, safety, and access across home, school, and community environments.
This is an Independent Consultant position (1099).
Residency Requirements: Must reside in the U.S.
Compensation $60-90/hr.
This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
Requires regular travel to provide face-to-face services and remote administrative work from a professional home office.
This is an Independent Consultant position (1099), open to residents of all 50 states and D.C.
