Position Overview

At PNC, our people are our greatest differentiator and competitive advantage in the markets we serve. We are all united in delivering the best experience for our customers. We work together each day to foster an inclusive workplace culture where all of our employees feel respected, valued and have an opportunity to contribute to the company's success. As a(n) [position title] within PNC's [name of division] organization, you will be based in [city/state location of position].

Job Profile

At PNC, our people are our greatest differentiator and competitive advantage in the markets we serve. We are all united in delivering the best experience for our customers. We work together each day to foster an inclusive workplace culture where all of our employees feel respected, valued and have an opportunity to contribute to the company's success. As an Organizational Change Consultant within PNC's HR Strategy Delivery and Risk organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh or Mechanicsburg PA; Cleveland, Akron or Columbus, OH; Downers Grove, IL; Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL.

The Organizational Change Consultant manages the planning, execution, and control of projects, delivering to approved deliverables, schedule, cost, and quality commitments. This role primarily supports HR Modernization - a multi-year, enterprise-wide effort to make HR simpler, smarter, and more connected - and takes on additional enterprise initiatives over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine change issues and required deliverables; define and manage resource needs, allocations, and availability.
  • Develop change work, resource, and quality plans, schedules; conduct project meetings; own project tracking, analysis, and management.
  • Lead the workstream-level change effort: stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, readiness, and adoption - translating design decisions into people, process, and behavior impacts.
  • Monitor progress and results delivery; identify resistance early, manage change saturation, and resolve project and stakeholder issues.
Required Experience
  • Direct, hands-on change management experience - has personally owned and delivered change work end-to-end, not supported it from an adjacent function. Backgrounds centered primarily on communications, training delivery, or project coordination without change ownership are not a fit.
  • Has led a change workstream or project and owned the outcomes.
  • Complex, enterprise-impacting initiatives - acquisition/integration work, vendor and platform transitions (e.g., benefits portal / vendor management), competency-to-skills shifts, payroll/req ops/comp structure changes, and internation expansion.
Preferred
  • Large-scale HR or enterprise transformation experience - a strong plus that does not substitute for direct change management leadership.
  • A pragmatic, credible leader trusted by both leadership and impacted teams, who thinks program-wide and translates strategy into "what this means for me."

PNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture where employees can thrive and achieve balance. We encourage candidates to connect with their recruiter and hiring manager to understand workplace expectations and ensure the role aligns with their goals.

PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

Job Description
  • Manages planning, execution and control of Organizational Change (Org Chg) projects. Provides products and services to clients per approved engagement deliverable, schedule, cost and quality commitments.
  • Helps determine client's Org Chg issues and required deliverables. Defines and manages resource needs and allocations. Ensures availability of resources.
  • Develops Org Chg work / resource / quality plans, schedules and budgets. Conducts project meetings. Responsible for project tracking, analysis and management.
  • Participates in preparing RFPs and SLAs. Helps manage client's Org Chg expectations, satisfaction and adherence to contract agreement.
  • Monitors Org Chg project progress and results delivery. Addresses and resolves project and client problems.

PNC Employees take pride in our reputation and to continue building upon that we expect our employees to be:

  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
