Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an Organic Search Manager to own optimization for a portfolio of B2B and growing brands. You will set the technical roadmap, guide content priorities, and shape the ranking story when clients ask what moved.

You'll manage technical SEO, keyword strategy, and content priorities with writers and AI, while ensuring clients appear in AI search results and traditional rankings. Remote work is supported with US and international clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO roadmap for client book, including crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Develop keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities with writers and AI.
• Drive AI-enabled search presence alongside traditional organic results.
• Lead links, local search and multi-location SEO as needed; deliver GA4 & Search Console reporting and quarterly client roadmaps.

As Organic Search Manager you own search for a book of B2B and growing‑brand clients: the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on‑page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi‑location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.
