Job summary

Encinitas Union School District is seeking a Farming Assistant for the EUSD Farm Lab, a 10-acre certified organic farm that supplies produce to the Farm to School program.

You will perform seeding, transplanting, harvesting, irrigation, weeding, and general farm maintenance outdoors, supporting student learning and environmental literacy.

This hands-on role values teamwork and safe, productive outdoor work, contributing to a unique educational farm experience.

Responsibilities

• Seeding, transplanting and harvesting vegetables on an outdoor organic farm.
• Preparing planting beds and installing/repairing irrigation systems.
• Weeding, pest management and other seasonal farming activities.
• General farm maintenance, grounds work, and site-related tasks to keep the farm safe and productive.
