Responsibilities include organ evaluation/procurement, ex‑vivo perfusion, ECMO/cannulation, and development of transplant expertise, with opportunities across nontransplant cardiac surgery and research.

Qualifications

• US ACGME-accredited Thoracic Surgery training required.
• Integrated Residency, Thoracic Surgery Traditional Fellowship, or Canadian accredited Cardiothoracic Residency.
• International applicants must have 2–3 years of US fellowship and be fluent in English; Ohio licensure eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate transplant organs and procurement (DCD heart and lung).
• Participate in ex-vivo heart perfusion and normothermic regional perfusion.
• Exposure to ex vivo lung perfusion and ECMO cannulation/management.
• Develop expertise in heart and lung transplant operations and post‑transplant care.
• Participate in nontransplant cardiac surgery operations.
• Engage in research activities.
