Job summary

Holman Logistics in Spanaway, WA seeks a warehouse order selector for the Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm shift with overtime as needed. You will operate pallet jacks and forklifts, move product through the warehouse, and ensure safe, accurate handling of materials.

Qualifications include 1–2 years in a warehouse, a high school diploma or GED, basic scanner skills, and a valid driver’s license. Forklift certification is preferred. Attendance and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Pushes, pulls, and steers rolling carts for order selection and loading.

  • Inspects vehicles and equipment and reports defects.
  • Loads/unloads materials and secures them for transport.
  • Maintains safety and accuracy in daily tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains reliable attendance and works required overtime.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm + necessary overtime

Compensation: $21.25 + $1.00 shift differential per hour

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Pushes, pulls, and steers rolling carts throughout warehouse for order selection and loading.
  • Places product into a cart.
  • Operates a manual pallet jack by pulling, leading, and steering palletized product throughout the warehouse and into trucks.
  • Operates an electric “walkie” pallet jack by pulling, leading, and steering palletized product throughout the warehouse and into trucks.
  • Operates an electric “riding” pallet jack by pushing, pulling, leading, and steering palletized product throughout the warehouse and while loading trucks. Driving requires twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis. Operator must continually mount and dismount equipment to pick product onto pallet
  • Picks product onto a pallet requires reaching, pulling, twisting, bending, crouching, and lifting.
  • Operates a lift truck all shift (certified order selector).
  • Performs routine inspections on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refers defects or repairs to supervisor/ maintenance.
  • Moves controls to drive powered lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, load inverters, elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Applies stretch-wrap under, over, or around unitized skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
  • Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.

  • Attendance - Ability to work required schedule and arrive at work on time. Ability and willingness to work the voluntary/mandatory overtime that is required during all busy seasons.
  • Communication - Ability to effectively communicate (in writing and verbally) in a courteous and professional manner with others. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Mathematics- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Language – Ability to identify and compare letters and numbers. Ability to read and interpret documents such as receivers, invoices, operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write simple sentences.

Skills & Abilities

  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) to two (2)s year related experience in warehouse environment.
  • Computer Skills: Basic scanner technology.
  • Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver’s License; Forklift Certification preferred.
