Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator for our McKinney, TX facility. The role requires operating a stand-up reach forklift, moving materials safely, and performing routine forklift inspections in a loud production setting.

Requirements include 1 year of stand-up reach forklift experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and passing a forklift exam along with an onsite drug screen. Overtime opportunities and a 6PM–6AM schedule are available.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up reach forklift.
• Move or stack products or materials to specified locations in a safe manner.
• Perform routine pre- and post-inspections on forklift equipment.
• Stack empty pallets, reels, etc.
• Comply with OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and safety team.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
• Follow supervisor directions and additional job requirements.

Starting Pay:

• $20 Hour.
• $2 Shift Premium.

Schedule:

• 6PM - 6AM.
• Overtime opportunities available. Time and a half!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Able to operate a stand-up reach forklift.
• Moves or stacks different products or materials to specified locations in a safe manner.
• Performs routine post and pre inspections to ensure suitable working nature or forklift equipment.
• Stacks empty pallets, reels, etc.
• Complies with safety policies, practices and procedures according to OSHA.
• Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or safety team.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
• Essential functions and responsibilities will also include following supervisor’s directions and the additional requirements of the various jobs assigned.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to perform Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed above.
• Must be able to safely move full and empty pallets with forklift in working area.
• Identify when required routine maintenance may be needed.
• 1 year of Stand-up Reach Forklift experience required.
• Experience moving large loads.
• Reliable Attendance.

Work Environment & Physical Responsibilities:

• Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside. Comfortable with repetitive movement, kneeling, crouching and stooping. Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting and/or standing.
