Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking an Order Puller to obtain product scheduled for shipment. You will operate lift trucks, use barcode scanners, and load trailers, ensuring correct stock and quantity are prepared for dispatch.

Responsibilities include pulling, scanning, transporting materials, packing, labeling, and adhering to safety and SOPs while maintaining clean work areas and supporting training and team goals at our facility in Chatsworth, GA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Lift Truck Certification preferred.
• Reads English and can perform basic arithmetic.
• On-the-job training and safety programs completed.

Responsibilities

• Pulling and scanning orders from inventory.
• Transport correct stock item and number of units for shipment.
• Operate electric tugger.
• Load and unload elevated bins.
• May be required to pack and label products scheduled for shipment.
• May operate powered industrial trucks such as forklifts to move materials.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Primary Objective

The Order Puller is responsible for obtaining product that is scheduled for shipment. This includes operating lift truck equipment, operating barcode scanner devices, and physically loading trailers.

Major Function And Scope

• Pulling and scanning orders from inventory
• Transport correct stock item and appropriate number of units from inventory for shipment
• Operate electric tugger
• Load and unload elevated bins
• Manually handling stacks of cardboard or plastic
• May be required to pack and label products that are scheduled for shipment
• May be required to operate powered industrial trucks/equipment such as forklifts, lift trucks, etc. to move materials
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

Type Of Experience And Knowledge

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Lift Truck Certification preferred
• Successful completion of all required on the job training
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• May be required to use department specific database systems such as: AS400
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction
• 1 year of Lift Truck experience preferred

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information

• May require bending, squatting, climbing, and other physical movement for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Working around moving equipment and in an industrial environment
• Working in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures.
