Job summary

Mohawk Industries seeks an Order Puller I to retrieve and prepare products for shipment. You will operate lift trucks and barcode scanners, move items from inventory, and load trailers on a daily basis. Safety and efficiency are essential in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Strong English reading/writing and basic math skills are required, with 1 year lift truck experience preferred. Health, safety, and OSHA training may be provided as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Lift Truck Certification preferred.
• Health and environmental safety training completed.
• Reads and writes in English; performs basic math.
• Experience with lift trucks (1 year preferred).

Responsibilities

• Pull and scan orders from inventory.
• Move stock to shipment area and load trailers.
• Operate electric tugger and forklifts as needed.
• Load/unload bins and pack/label products for shipment.
• Follow safety procedures and work in a team environment.
• Attend required on-the-job training and keep records.

Primary Objective

The Order Puller I is responsible for obtaining product that is scheduled for shipment. This includes operating lift truck equipment, operating barcode scanner devices, and physically loading trailers.

Major Function And Scope

• Pulling and scanning orders from inventory
• Transport correct stock item and appropriate number of units from inventory for shipment
• Operate electric tugger
• Load and unload elevated bins
• Manually handling stacks of cardboard or plastic
• May be required to pack and label products that are scheduled for shipment
• May be required to operate powered industrial trucks/equipment such as forklifts, lift trucks, etc. to move materials
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Lift Truck Certification preferred
• Successful completion of all required on the job training
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• May be required to use department specific database systems such as: AS400
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and

subtraction

• 1 year of Lift Truck experience preferred

Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information

• May require bending, squatting, climbing, and other physical movement for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Working around moving equipment and in an industrial environment
• Working in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures
