Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring an Order Puller for a company in Kansas City, MO. The role involves picking parts from warehouse locations, packing them for shipment, and using a Windows-based PC and RF barcode systems. Training is provided for forklift operation, reach trucks, and related equipment.

You will assemble kits and verify materials against packing lists to meet customer needs. The position is on 1st shift with overtime during busy periods, Monday–Friday and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Overtime availability Mon-Fri; some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Pick parts from warehouse locations to fill customer orders.
• Pack parts securely for shipment and label correctly.
• Use Windows-based PC, email, shipping programs, and Axapta.
• Utilize RF barcode system to verify items and locations.
• Unload material from trucks with forklift/pallet jack.
• Build kits according to production work orders and packing lists.

Position Title: Order PullerWage: $20.00/hourShift: 1stHours: 6:30am - 3:00pm (Currently working required overtime 5:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday with some Saturdays)QPS Employment Group is hiring an Order Puller for a company in Kansas City, MO. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st or 2nd shift.Order Puller Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Maintain a safe and clean work area- Adhere to company and policies and procedures- Use Windows-based PC, including but not limited to email, shipping programs, and Axapta programs- Pick parts from warehouse locations to fill customer orders, using the packing list- Use several types of material handling equipment, pallet jacks, push carts, hand truck, fork truck, and RF bar code reading system (only after training/certification for each)- Pack parts in appropriate packaging for shipment- Unload material from trucks using fork truck and/or pallet jack- Use a reach truck or stand-up forklift to pick orders (will train, 1st shift only)- Verify received material to attached packing list and location in warehouse pallet racks, bin racks, and floor locations- Build kits according to production work orders- Produce kits according to production work orders- Produce kits in a timely and accurate manner to meet customer expectations and demand- Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fastenersOrder Puller Requirements:- High school diploma or GED- Continuous lifting or moving of lightweight materials 10-25 pounds; must be able to infrequently lift to 50 pounds- Continuous bending, stretching, and walking on cement floors- Ability to operate forklift (may be trained)- Experience working with box cutter; will be using box cutters throughout shift- Warehouse is not climate controlled; dress appropriately for different seasonsIND060QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
