Job summary

Ryerson is seeking an Order Filler in Illinois to fill customer orders from the queue and maintain warehouse workflow. You will load and unload trucks, operate lift equipment, and utilize SAP to track and fulfill orders. The role includes packaging material for shipment and adhering to safety protocols.

Starting wage is $25.99 per hour under the union contract. Apprenticeship onboarding is part of the process, with comprehensive benefits and a path for skill development within the metals

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer.
• Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload the trucks.
• Operate lift truck, side loader, and overhead crane.
• Use SAP operating system to place, track, and fulfill customer orders.
• Package and prepare material for shipment.
• Final packaging of material per customer specification.
• Work safely using provided PPE and training.
• All other duties as assigned or change at any time.
