Job summary

Randstad USA in Groveport, OH is seeking a reliable Warehouse Order Picker to accurately fill customer orders and replenish stock as needed.

You will use pick sheets and handheld devices to select the correct items, count inventory, and move orders to the shipping area while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Shifts run 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Excellent communication with team, ability to follow instructions, and basic math skills are important for success.

Qualifications

• Desirable: high school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–12 months warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Responsible for safe, secure, and accurate filling of customer orders. Replenish or pick product with direction from pick sheets or hand held computer. Obtains merchandise from bins or shelves to fill the order.

Primary Duties: Efficiently pick customer orders or shipment ensuring the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Accurately count product inventory by location. Transport orders to shipping locations utilizing non-powered material handling equipment. Assist in physical inventories. Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area. Perform other duties as assigned by management or customer.

Key Relationships: Peers - Work with peers in order to complete warehouse functions accurately. Group Coord Lead - Receive work assignments and training. Warehouse - Receive direction for adhering to company policies, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Desirable - High school diploma or equivalent;
• 0 to 12 months experience in a warehouse setting.

Experience

• Essential - Ability to operate simple equipment with a non-hydraulic lifting mechanism safely and efficiently (ex: powered pallet jack, two motor etc).
• Basic familiarity with warehouse procedures and operations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work specified shift.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions/work procedures/safety rules.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
• Ability to identify and locate product which requires reading, counting, and printing.
• Ability to use automated inventory control equipment.

Working Conditions

(max weight in pounds - 100 lbs).

Rarely (0-2%) - Sitting; Occasional (3-33%) - Pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, climbing and kneeling. Frequent (34-66%) - Walking; Constant (67-100%) - Standing, vision (Near, far, peripheral), operation of equipment - Material handling equipment.

Overall working environment is 90% inside and 10% outside.

Safety - Some safety precautions and/or the use of protective safety equipment. May require compliance with OSHA regulations or MSDS standards.
