Job summary

S.P. Richards Company in Nashua, NH is hosting an open house for Order Fillers and Bulk roles. This full-time, manual-labor position requires pulling customer orders, locating products, and transporting them to the checking station using voice picking and RF scanning.

Starting hourly pay is $21.50 and can rise to $25.54 after 12 months. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, over 40 hours. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience.
• Must be literate and able to recognize product numbers and line codes.
• Ability to read simple instructions and communicate with the voice system.

Responsibilities

• Pull all orders for customers according to picking quotas.
• Identify and locate products, pick, and transport to checking station.
• Navigate computer systems; use RF scanning and voice picking.
• Follow safety rules and maintain stockroom housekeeping.

Summary: To pull items efficiently and accurately according to customer order.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota as set by management.
• Pull means - to go to the shelf where the product is located; identify the proper product and quantity, pull the product, and transport the product to the checking station.
• Basic navigation on the computer is required
• Use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment is required
• Adherence to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of facility and specific product line area is required.
• Accuracy in repetitive routine is very important while maintaining good speed.
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to insure proper retrieval of products for shipment, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write legibly. The ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system. Adapt to understanding the voice system’s commands, as well as adapting your speech so that the voice system can understand your input.

Math Ability

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

The employee is frequently required to lift up to 60 pounds. Must be able to move heavy product in excess of 1,000 pounds with moving aids designed to move such items including hand trucks, dollies, motorized cart, pallet jacks, etc.
