S.P. Richards Company is hosting a Warehouse Associates Open House in Lockbourne, OH. Roles include Order Fillers with starting pay at $20.35 per hour and potential to rise to $22.74 after 12 months.

This full-time position requires standing, walking, and operating voice picking/RF scanning equipment in a noisy, high-volume environment. Typical shifts are Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week, with benefits such as health, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; write legibly.
• Ability to understand the voice picking system and communicate with it.

Responsibilities

• Pull all orders according to prescribed picking quota.
• Identify correct product and quantity; transport to checking station.
• Basic navigation on computer systems is required.
• Use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment is required.
• Adhere to stockroom housekeeping policies and product line area rules.
• Maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks with good speed.
• Follow safety rules including handling hazardous materials.

Hourly Rate: Starting $20.35 an hour up to $22.74 an hour after 12 months of employment

Standard Work Hours: M-F 40+ hours

Summary: To pull items efficiently and accurately according to customer order.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota as set by management.
• Pull means - to go to the shelf where the product is located; identify the proper product and quantity, pull the product, and transport the product to the checking station.
• Basic navigation on the computer is required
• Use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment is required
• Adherence to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of facility and specific product line area is required.
• Accuracy in repetitive routine is very important while maintaining good speed.
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications:

Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to insure proper retrieval of products for shipment, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write legibly. The ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system. Adapt to understanding the voice system’s commands, as well as adapting your speech so that the voice system can understand your input.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
