Job summary

ABB in New Berlin, Wisconsin invites motivated students to join our Order Execution team as an internship. You will gain hands-on experience across order receipt, fulfillment, and cross-functional coordination with Procurement, Production, Planning, and Logistics.

You will analyze orders, support planning, and contribute to continuous improvement while balancing academic commitments. Candidates must be enrolled in a related bachelor's program and able to commute to the New Berlin site.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Must have reliable transportation to the worksite and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset and clear communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point of contact for customers and support orders from receipt through fulfillment.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Planning, and Logistics to ensure timely order execution.
• Monitor order status, communicate updates, and address issues to deliver a positive customer experience.
• Support demand, inventory, and fulfillment planning activities to meet objectives.
• Analyze order and operational data to identify trends and improve processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels and on-time delivery.

This position reports to:

Order Execution Manager

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is hybrid in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Serving as the point of contact for customers, managing inquiries and supporting orders from receipt through fulfillment.
• Coordinating with Procurement, Production, Planning, and Logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order execution.
• Monitoring order status, communicating updates, and proactively addressing issues to deliver a positive customer experience.
• Supporting demand, inventory, and fulfillment planning activities to help meet customer and business objectives.
• Analyzing order and operational data to identify trends, improve processes, and support decision-making.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service levels, operational efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications for the role:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field at an accredited U.S. institution.
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Exhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.

The hourly rate is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications, graduation year and experience. This position is expected to pay between $20 - $34 per hour.
