Job summary

Emerson is seeking an engineer in Reno to support sustaining engineering for Knife Gate Valve products. The role blends order engineering and product engineering, targeting graduates or engineers with up to 2 years of experience to learn, contribute, and grow.

You will help fulfill customer orders, assist with design improvements, documentation, and release to production, while collaborating across teams and maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

• Sound mechanical engineering skills.
• Proficient in CAD, preferably SolidWorks.
• Competent in written and verbal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize work and meet milestones.

Responsibilities

• Sustainment of KGV products including engineer-to-order design, CAD and documentation, and production support.
• Assist with technical responses to sales inquiries and supplier evaluations.
• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans to meet customer specs.
• Participate in value engineering projects with CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
