Job summary

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra seeks an Operations Coordinator to support the Assistant General Manager in coordinating daily logistical and administrative activities across Symphony Hall and related venues. The role maintains operational records, schedules rehearsals and events, and coordinates venues, vendors, and staff.

You will partner with Production, artistic, and education teams to align operations with the ASO’s objectives, ensuring smooth services and event success.

Qualifications

  • Experience in orchestra operations, production, arts administration, or a comparable scheduling‑and‑logistics‑intensive environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with scheduling and production software (Momentus Elite, OPAS, VectorWorks) preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with orchestral repertoire, production, and stage operations preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and distribute run‑of‑show sheets to departments in a timely manner.
  • Serve as day‑to‑day point of contact between Operations and Production.
  • Maintain and update operational records, equipment inventories, and event records.
  • Enter and maintain venue bookings; coordinate room and hall assignments.
  • Liaise with external vendors and technicians for repairs, supplies, and travel itineraries.
  • Support AGM and VP/GM in applying CBA provisions and operational procedures.
  • Develop, secure, and manage supertitles for assigned projects.
  • Lead logistics for runouts, tours, and community events.
  • Attend rehearsals and concerts on‑site and offsite to provide operational support.
  • Collaborate with Artistic, Personnel, Library, Production, Education, and Chorus staff.
